Noon til Night: May 13 is all about Moms at Yakuza Lounge

Join us on Sunday May 13th as Yakuza celebrates Mother’s Day with 3-course menu options for both brunch and dinner.

Brunch 11am-1pm $35 Adults/$15 Kids

It’s Sunday Parkways in NE, and Yakuza is right on the route. Stop in for our reservation only brunch, featuring 3 tantalizing courses complemented by your choice of Blood Orange Mimosa or Kimchi Bloody Mary, plus fresh juice & coffee for the grownups. Courses include an array of Fresh Fruit with lavender syrup; Traditional or Salmon Benedict; and Baked French Toast stuffed with pear and bacon, and topped with spiced sweet mascarpone. Kids 12 & under enjoy their own 3-course menu including Egg Scramble with fresh juice spritzer and milk. Vegetarian options are available upon reservation request. Be sure to bring a suit and towel too! Our outdoor soaking tub will be open for your enjoyment til 2pm.

Dinner: 5pm – 10pm

Yakuza re-opens at 5pm for an indulgent Mother’s Day Evening Retreat. Moms enjoy a relaxing 20-minute chair massage, hand-crafted cocktail of their choice and 3 delectable courses from our Salads, Plates and Rolls Menu. Try the Kale Salad, Seared Miso Cod, or the legendary Yakuza Burger along with our Really Spicy, Salmon Avocado or Pear Jalapeno Rolls. Top it off with a post-meal relaxing soak in the garden’s soaking tub. Dads order from the regular dinner & drinks menu; Kid’s Happy Hour will be served next door at the Milagro’s Kid Zone where our art teachers will lead a craft project (art supplies and materials provided by our good friends at Troolie) and look after your little ones while you soak it up. Childcare is included in the price of mom’s package (plus $10 for each additional child). Reservations are a must for childcare and massage.

Easter is upon us!

Join us for a special Yakuza Kids Happy Hour and family Easter egg hunt in the Kuza Garden Easter Sunday April 8th. Happy hour food and prices will be available. Kids choose from avocado or edamame ($1), noodles or rice ($2), and chicken, pork or salmon ($3) then trample around Yakuza’s back garden searching for fun and surprise filled eggs. Grownups indulge in Whiskey #2s, Beet Martinis and not to mention, burgers and sushi. Doors open at 5pm with the hunt beginning at 5:30 so make a reservation to snag a spot.

VALENTINE’S DAY

Enjoy a romantic, modern Japanese prefix dinner at Yakuza for $60 with an optional cocktail/wine/sake pairing for $30. Seatings are at 5, 6, 7:30 and 8:30pm.

Multi-course dinner includes:
– Amuse bouche of Tillamook Bay oysters on the half shell with yuzu mignonette
– Grilled octopus salad with fennel, daikon, baby mizuna, virgin olive oil and ponzu
– Salt cured salmon carpaccio with salmon roe caviar, tangerine, black radish and Meyer lemon oil
– Hamachi sashimi served over cripsy Asian pear with persimmon vinaigrette and cilantro sprouts
– Seared duck breast with braised root vegetables, blood orange sauce, and pear chutney
– Seared scallops with sunchokeconfit and buttered ponzu

Plus additional Yakuza menu favorites!

For dessert we’ll be featuring a custom Salt and Straw Valentine’s Day sorbet made especially for Yakuza and truffles from Alma Chocolates.

Legend has it that the famously tender Kobe beef comes from Wagyu cows who are fed a steady diet of beer and massaged daily with warm sake by beautiful maidens—all while grazing in the mountains of Hyogo, Japan. Far-fetched, yes, but after a bite of the Yakuza burger, it seems plausible.

NEW YEAR’S EVE AT YAKUZA

Ring in 2012 Yakuza-style with an incredible 5-course omakase dinner. We’ll be mixing classic menu favorites like Kale Salad, Hangar Steak, Ahi Tuna, Salmon and Hamachi with seasonal plates including Kobacha Squash, Charred Brussels Sprouts, Soba Noodles with Jalapeno Ponzu, Duck Consomme and more.

5-course dinner and champagne toast is just $55 with optional wine/sake pairing for an additional $25. Seatings are at 5:30 and 8pm.

Dine early and stay late, or join us after 10pm when we’ll roll out the New Year’s Eve late-night bar menu: Slow Braised Pork Ribs, Duck Fat Popcorn (yes!), Gyoza and more, with prices ranging from just $3 to $8. The Kuza Cabin, soaking tub and fire pit will all be available for your late night revelry and indulgence.

Add Beet Martinis, Whiskey #2, Sake Bombs, draft specials and plenty of flowing champagne to welcome 2012 with open arms and satiated bellies.

YAKUZA OPEN FRIDAY NOVEMBER 25

A quick note to wish our friends and family a Happy Thanksgiving! Yakuza will be closed November 23 and 24 but we’ll be OPEN FRIDAY NOVEMBER 25 serving all your favorite salads, sashimi, plates and rolls including KaleSalad, Sashimi Trio, Scallops Tempura and of course, the legendary Yakuza Burger. Ditch the turkey hangover and enjoy modern, delicious Japanese pub fare along with sake and accompanying cocktails instead. (Mmmm Whiskey Ginger!).

We are also taking reservations for Holiday Parties throughout the month of December. Our private back dining room is perfect for groups of 10-20 and the large dining room can accommodate groups of any size.
